Description

Indulge in the rich, buttery goodness of this Candied Yams Recipe – a mouthwatering side dish that comes together in just 5 minutes. Perfectly caramelized sweet potatoes, coated in a sweet glaze, make for an irresistible holiday or everyday accompaniment.

Ingredients

– 3 pounds sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter

– 1/2 cup brown sugar

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

2. Add the sweet potato cubes and toss to coat in the butter.

3. Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon over the potatoes and stir to combine.

4. Reduce heat to low, cover the skillet, and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are tender and caramelized.

5. Remove from heat, stir in the salt, and serve warm.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use salted butter instead of unsalted. You can also add a splash of maple syrup or a touch of nutmeg to the glaze. Refrigerate any leftovers for up to 4 days.
