Ingredients

– 1 (4-5 pound) whole chicken

– 2 tablespoons olive oil

– 2 teaspoons garlic powder

– 1 teaspoon paprika

– 1 teaspoon dried thyme

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

2. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels and place it on a cutting board.

3. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper.

4. Rub the seasoning mixture all over the chicken, making sure to cover the entire surface.

5. Place the seasoned chicken on a roasting rack set in a baking sheet.

6. Roast the chicken for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) in the thickest part of the breast.

7. Let the chicken rest for 5-10 minutes before carving and serving.

Notes
