Description

Indulge in the perfect bite-sized treat with these decadent Chocolate Covered Strawberry ‘Birds’! Fresh, juicy strawberries are skewered and coated in a rich, glossy chocolate shell for a delightful combination of flavors and textures.

Ingredients

– 1 pound fresh strawberries, washed and dried

– 12 ounces high-quality dark or milk chocolate, chopped

– 12 wooden skewers

Instructions

1. Rinse the strawberries and pat them dry completely with a paper towel.

2. Insert a wooden skewer into the top of each strawberry, leaving about 1-2 inches of the skewer exposed.

3. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave, stirring frequently until smooth.

4. Holding the skewered strawberry by the exposed end, dip it into the melted chocolate, coating it evenly.

5. Gently tap off any excess chocolate and place the coated strawberry on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

6. Repeat with the remaining strawberries, spacing them apart on the baking sheet.

7. Refrigerate the chocolate-covered strawberries for at least 15 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.

8. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

For an extra fancy touch, you can sprinkle the coated strawberries with crushed nuts, shredded coconut, or drizzle with white chocolate.
