Description

Indulge in the savory, crispy goodness of these Crunchy Ham Cheese Chaffles – a low-carb, protein-packed twist on the classic waffle that’s perfect for breakfast, lunch, or a quick snack.

Ingredients

– 4 large eggs

– 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

– 1/4 cup diced ham

– 1 tablespoon heavy cream

– 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. Preheat a chaffle maker or waffle iron to medium-high heat.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

3. Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese and diced ham.

4. Grease the chaffle maker or waffle iron and pour the batter onto the hot surface, spreading it evenly.

5. Cook the chaffles for 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

6. Carefully remove the Crunchy Ham Cheese Chaffles from the maker and serve hot, garnished with additional shredded cheese or fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For extra crispiness, you can also broil the chaffles for 1-2 minutes after cooking. Experiment with different types of cheese or add-ins to customize the flavor.
