Description

Indulge in the ultimate in creamy, cheesy comfort food with this easy Lobster Mac and Cheese recipe. Loaded with tender chunks of succulent lobster and a rich, velvety cheese sauce, this dish is sure to become a new family favorite.

Ingredients

– 1 pound elbow macaroni

– 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

– 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour

– 3 cups whole milk

– 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

– 1 cup grated parmesan cheese

– 1 pound cooked lobster meat, roughly chopped

– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1/2 teaspoon paprika

– 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

– Salt and black pepper to taste

– 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

3. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.

4. Gradually whisk in the milk and bring the mixture to a simmer. Cook, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.

5. Remove the sauce from heat and stir in the cheddar and parmesan cheeses until melted and smooth.

6. Add the cooked macaroni, lobster meat, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.

7. Transfer the mac and cheese to a 9×13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle the top with the panko breadcrumbs.

8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the sauce is bubbling.

9. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use a combination of gruyere and cheddar cheese. You can also add a teaspoon of lemon zest to the cheese sauce for a bright, tangy note.
