Description

Ingredients

– 12 slices day-old bread, cubed

– 8 large eggs

– 2 cups whole milk

– 1/2 cup granulated sugar

– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– Butter, for greasing


Instructions

1. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter.

2. Arrange the cubed bread in the prepared baking dish.

3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.

4. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

5. In the morning, preheat the oven to 350°F.

6. Bake the casserole for 45-55 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
