Ingredients
– 1 cup all-purpose flour
– 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
– 1 teaspoon baking powder
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
– 1/2 cup granulated sugar
– 1 egg
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– 2 eggs
– 1 tablespoon red food coloring
– 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan and line with parchment paper.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
3. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and 1/2 cup sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
4. In a third bowl, beat the melted butter and 1 cup sugar until combined. Beat in the 2 eggs, food coloring, and apple cider vinegar.
5. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet red velvet batter until just combined.
6. Spread half of the red velvet batter into the prepared pan. Dollop the cheesecake mixture over the top and gently swirl it in with a knife.
7. Spread the remaining red velvet batter over the cheesecake layer.
8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
9. Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
