Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1 teaspoon baking powder

– 1 cup sourdough discard

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder.

3. Add the sourdough discard and stir until a shaggy dough forms.

4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

5. Roll the dough out into a rectangle, about 1/2 inch thick.

6. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley.

7. Brush the butter mixture generously over the dough, making sure to coat the entire surface.

8. Cut the dough into 9 equal squares.

9. Stack the squares and cut them in half diagonally to create 18 triangles.

10. Arrange the triangles in a greased 9-inch round baking dish, standing them up on their sides.

11. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the garlic butter is bubbling.

12. Serve the Sourdough Discard Pull-Apart Garlic Bread warm, with any remaining garlic butter drizzled over the top.

Notes

For a more pronounced sourdough flavor, use a larger proportion of sourdough discard. You can also experiment with different herbs or cheese toppings to customize the recipe to your liking.
